About the School at City Arts
We are accessible quality instruction, igniting a passion for dance. We provide
comprehensive training for people of all ages and skill levels in a nurturing
atmosphere that fosters growth, a healthy lifestyle, self-esteem and artistry. We
focus on teaching the whole dancer in a non-competitive environment where
dancing is fun and rewarding. Our students learn an awareness of how the
body works and how movement can be used expressively. We teach the
fundamentals and details of each technique we offer, yet allow for individual
exploration and discovery. All of our teachers are college educated dance
professionals with prior instructional experience and passion for their art form.
We love what we do, and strive to instill a similar passion within our students.
At Dance Project, we strive to instill a sense of community awareness and
service. Thus we join our dance training with opportunities for community
performance and outreach. Each spring, students participate in our Spring
Showcase for their family and friends, and you might also see us out
performing in various Greensboro locations - retirement centers, schools, fairs,
etc! Additionally, we offer need-based scholarships and keep our costs low to
make our program more accessible to the community.
Whether you are looking for a new experience, a means of staying fit, or a
professional career, you and your child deserve the best instruction around.
From all the teachers and staff at Dance Project, we hope you enjoy dancing
To encourage community in our dance school, we offer a multitude of
opportunities for students and parents alike to get a feel of what we offer, who
we are, and chances to make friends with other people who share your love of
dance! These offerings include: parent observation (different instructors apply
this in their own unique ways), trial classes (youth only), bring a friend week
(3x a year/1x per semester), dance parties, and spirit nights. Stay in touch
with these opportunities on our webpage calendar.
